Last Trip of See by Cycle
2005年 10月 24日
I rode Bike Friday from the Birch to Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, approx. 50 km. I started off at 06:00 in the dark. These days the sunrise is late around 07:00. So one hour of night riding since the last winter.
I guess, I hadn't adjusted to a cautious riding in the dark; I had a spill, minor though; at least knee scrape.
There were 4 of us, when we started at Swaltz Bay. At Victoria Junction the couple left for a day trip.
So, Chris and I continued another 40 km to Sooke, where we stayed at his favourite B & B on Harbourview Dr.
Suday's ride was the same route, Gallopping Goose and then Lochside to Swaltz Bay. We were always pressed to take 14:00 Ferry.
After I checked in, I learnt there was no more 14:00 one.
I was prisoned in the waiting room for 1.5 hours, as I was a pedestrian, carrying a foldable bike in a bag.
Chris was lucky. He could get out to visit the Stone House Pub for a pint.
